CUSTOM RESIDENTIAL, COMMERCIAL & URBAN DESIGN
San Juan Island + Seattle
D+A studio, Inc. is a small, family owned design firm, started by Anna and Geody Howden in 2005 in Friday Harbor, Washington. In 2008 we expanded our role as traditional designers by creating Studio How, LLC design build, construction management and general contracting. We have two offices, on San Juan Island and in Seattle’s Capitol Hill neighborhood.
Our goal is to create elegant, sustainable solutions by forming flexible working relationships with each client based on their unique needs. D+A studio has experience on a wide range of projects from small-scale renovations to large-scale master planning. No matter how large or small a project or budget, we strive to make Real Green projects possible in the Real World.
In order to make our services more accessible and affordable, and allow for more flexibility in the design process, D+A studio offers fixed-fee design counseling packages, including remodel consultations and feasibility studies for Realtors, and a catalog of stock home plans ready for permit and construction.
