D+A studio is currently designing a 2000 square foot residence for a couple permanently relocating to San Juan Island from the east side suburbs of Seattle.
The home will fit into a complicated site, characterized by complex topography sloping down to the shore of San Juan Channel. Capturing limited daylight and water views will guide the development of the design, while working with the strict shoreline setbacks, a sloping gully, and maintaining the abundant natural vegetation and large trees on the site.
